Lock down fatigue appears to have some states’ Corona numbers rising (MotherJones). Most states reopening (18/30 states) fail to meet White House guidelines of 14 day trajectory (NYTimes). WH blocks CDC guidance over economic and religious concerns as Trump no longer looks to reduce Corona task force and shifts focus to reopening, vaccines. Hispanics ~20x more likely to have the virus, while most deaths reported a month ago from early data are African Americans. As most states open up throughout the remainder of the month, we’ll have to wait another two weeks or so to see what the result of entering phase 2 will be overall. “Trustworthy” NYTimes says Corona may lurk in semen, researchers report; “It was not clear… so sexual transmission of the virus still seems very unlikely.” Earlier this week, the Pentagon issued a recruitment memo suggesting Corona survivors are permanently disqualified, which has raised eyebrows as the country reopens.
